St. Thaddeus Child Care Society is a non-profit organization based in Kenya Founded in 1998 and got its official registration as a Society in 2000, the organization is focused on promoting the well-being and development of children, particularly those who are marginalized or vulnerable. St. Thaddeus Child Care Society provides a range of services and support aimed at improving the health, education, and economic well-being of children and families, with a focus on addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality. St. Thaddeus Child Care Society works in close partnership with local communities, government agencies, and other non-profit organizations to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of children and families. This includes providing access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities, as well as supporting families in times of crisis. Through its comprehensive approach to child welfare and development, St. Thaddeus Child Care Society is making a real difference in the lives of children and families in Kenya. By working to address the root causes of poverty and inequality, the society is helping to build brighter futures for children and communities across the country.
Our Goals

St Thaddeus Child Care Society is guided by four [4] key goals:

  • Economically empower households to meet their basic needs more sustainably,
  • Provide access to education and nutrition to OVC and CWD,
  • Strengthen gender mainstreaming and respect for human rights in development and agriculture processes,
  • Enhance social safety nets for the most vulnerable groups in the community including OVC, CWD, the elderly, child mothers, widows and young economically poor mothers.
Our Objectives

St. Thaddeus Child Care Society is guided by a number of objectives that respond to the evidence base and help in the realization of the intended goals. These include;

  • Building the capacity women and youth on entrepreneurship to identify economic development opportunities available in their areas.
  • Promoting development of viable income generating activities as a strategy for improving household income and resilience.
  • Supporting access to good health and nutrition for OVCs, children with disabilities and other most vulnerable groups
  • Enhancing access to quality education for OVC and CWD through sponsorship as a way of increasing their school attendance, transition, retention, and completion and rates.
  • Supporting gender equality, early marriages and children rights through strengthening peer-to-peer networks for GBV prevention and response activities.
  • Mobilizing resources; both financial and non-financial to enable the organization realize its mission and vision.
